Your Faith or God's Faith?

If you are a believer, you may have already had a struggle of faith.

As believers, we often go through trials of faith in which we feel a need for our faith to be increased or we feel it is inadequate. We go through times when we question or faith down to the very core of what we believe and why we believe it. We tell ourselves that we believe in God but... We even wonder just exactly how much faith is the size of a mustard seed and how much smaller must my faith actually be if I cannot even get through my current circumstances?

Hebrews 11:6 says "But without faith it is impossible to please Him: For He that cometh to God must believe that He is, and He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." Oh, when I first heard this scripture it vexed my trial of faith even more. It seemed to be further proof that I had no faith because I did believe that God is, and that he is a rewarder and that I had been diligently seeking Him. And still and yet, no reward - so obviously, no faith and no pleasure for God.

Oh, but believers, I have good news! My bible in Romans 12:3 says "For I say, through the Grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he out to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith."

This is rich with truth, Family of God! First, let's start from the end of the scripture. Do not doubt this truth: God HAS dealt to every man the measure of faith." God has already given us faith - not a measure but "the" measure. What is "the" measure of faith? It is "the" faith we need to bring pleasure to God. It is the amount of faith we need to believe in Jesus by faith. It is the mustard seed amount of faith!

God has already given every man this faith - not just believers - but every man, and therefore we should not get all high and mighty as Christians that we somehow have more or are more than anyone else who is not a believer - but we must be sober and serious in the knowledge that we ARE pleasing to God! We are favored! We are already blessed! We are already forgiven! And we have already been given everything we need to be healthy, wealthy and wise!

We have Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith!

If you are not a believer, and you have read this and you want to be a "believer" all you have to do is believe. Believe with that measure of faith that you have already been given that God loves you so much that He gave his only begotten Son, Jesus the Christ to die for you, so that you would not suffer eternal death in hell, but so that you could have eternal life with Him forever!

Believe in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died for your sins, and rose again on the 3rd day so that you can have eternal life - then confess that, say it out loud with your own mouth in your own prayer to God, asking Him to forgive you of your sins and come into your life as the head of your life!
